Jamaican gospel singer Chevelle Franklyn has secured six nominations at the upcoming 2025 Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards, solidifying her presence as one of the region’s leading gospel artistes. The awards ceremony, set for July 27 in the Bahamas, will honor outstanding contributions to Caribbean gospel music.
Franklyn’s nominations span multiple categories, showcasing both her versatility and impact in the genre. She has been recognized for Outstanding Adapted Recording (Female) for No Longer a Slave, Outstanding Album for Southwind Vol. 1, and Outstanding Pop Recording (Female) for Go In Your Strength.

Her collaboration with Nigerian gospel artiste Nathaniel Bassey on Highest Are You earned a nomination for Outstanding Praise and Worship Recording (Duo or Group), while her single Jesus Wins is in the running for both Outstanding Praise and Worship Recording (Female) and Outstanding Song.
Launched in 1996 by recording artiste Kevin Harris, the Marlin Awards—formerly known as the Bahamian Gospel Music Marlin Awards—recognize excellence in Caribbean gospel music. Other nominees for the 2025 awards include It Is Well by The Foster Triplets, Go Tell Everyone by Glacia Robinson, Company by Trinidadian artiste Positive, and Grateful by Joshua Stewart, among others.
