In honour of International Women’s Day, Noble Media Network has partnered with With A Purpose International’s "She Is" Initiative to highlight 8 women who inspire us to have bold faith. The "She Is" Initiative celebrates women who lead with authenticity and confidence as they walk in their purpose.

From poverty and pain to purpose and prosperity, Crystal Daye has built a global platform dedicated to equipping Christian authors, coaches, and entrepreneurs with the tools to monetize their message, launch their kingdom businesses, and increase their impact—without compromising their faith.

As a global book and sales coach, award-winning author, international speaker, and COO of DayeLight Publishers, Crystal is on a mission to help aspiring authors, ministry leaders, and entrepreneurs birth their books, build profitable brands, and transform lives using biblical principles. We’d say she’s achieved that and more, with her company publishing over 350 authors, selling over 300,000 books, and raking in more than USD 3,000,000 in sales.

Her journey, however, has been anything but easy. Yet, through faith, resilience, and surrender, she has turned her trials into a testimony that now empowers others worldwide.

A Story of Redemption

Growing up in some of the toughest communities in Kingston, Jamaica, Crystal knew what it meant to struggle. Poverty, toxic relationships, abuse, insecurity, and moments of having no food or a place to sleep defined much of her early life.

She is candid about the fact that it was her decision to surrender to God that led to a radical transformation, bringing her from pain to power and her story into a source of hope for others.

Crystal’s first book, “Living a Royal Reality: Discovering Your Identity, Purpose, and Worth in Christ,” became an Amazon bestseller in less than 48 hours and earned her a nomination for an Indie Author Legacy Award in Baltimore for its profound message.

That success sparked her passion for helping others clarify their God-given message, leading her to become a certified Christian life coach and a leading book and sales strategist for faith-based entrepreneurs. She has authored several other books including “Dear Insecurity,” “Sell More Books, Impact More Lives,” and “Divinely Blessed”.

Through her work at DayeLight Publishers, she now guides Christian authors, coaches, and influencers to turn their stories into best-selling books, high-impact coaching programs, and thriving speaking careers.

Building Kingdom Businesses Without Compromise

Crystal is passionate about teaching believers how to launch kingdom businesses and ministries by applying biblical principles to entrepreneurship. To spread her message even further, she recently launched her web series, “My Journey To Six Figures,” on YouTube, where she shares lessons from her own life and career on ways to build wealth as an author.

Through her books, coaching, and publishing company, Crystal continues to equip, mentor, and inspire a new generation of faith-driven leaders to boldly step into their purpose. Her story is proof that no matter where you start, God’s purpose will always lead you to a greater destination.

A Closer Look w/ Crystal Daye

DayeLight is God’s vision. I am just a vessel. ~ Crystal Daye

Your story is so powerful. When did you first realize that your pain could be used to empower others?

CRYSTAL: In 2014, I read the book "The Purpose Driven Life" [by Rick Warren] and it changed my life. The book taught me how God can use my pain for His purpose, if I was surrendered to Him. Once I started to focus on God’s plan then I realized nothing I’ve been through is wasted with God and it gave me confidence and courage to boldly share my story (including the messy parts).

Your first book became an Amazon bestseller in just 48 hours! What was that moment like for you?

CRYSTAL: I was shocked. I was super grateful. I know I had done a lot of marketing but I wasn’t popular or had a big platform in 2016, so it was such a humbling and amazing feeling knowing the work I put in was being honoured. Even more, I was encouraged to know so many people are being blessed by my message.

DayeLight Publishers has impacted so many lives. What was the vision behind starting it?

CRYSTAL: DayeLight is God’s vision. I am just a vessel. The idea to help authors to write books was planted by a business coach I was working with, Dayna Wallace. I wasn’t thinking it was something I could do but God sent so many confirmations, I couldn’t avoid it. The mission is to help preserve Godly literature, empower lives through legacy-driven books and build the kingdom of God. With this business, I just follow His leading and keep serving people in excellence.

You work with aspiring authors and entrepreneurs. What’s the biggest misconception people have about writing a book or launching a brand?

CRYSTAL: Well, one of the biggest misconceptions aspiring authors have is: 1. Once they write the book and put it on Amazon it will sell (that is not so, writing the book is 20% of the work, publishing the book is 10% - marketing and sales is 70% that is not a destination but a journey).

2. When it comes on to branding, many entrepreneurs believe that building a brand is for famous people, but we all are a brand and have a brand (no matter how many followers you have).

You’re passionate about helping people monetize their God-given message. What’s one mistake many faith-based entrepreneurs make when trying to build a profitable brand?

CRYSTAL: Many faith-based entrepreneurs believe that doing things for free makes them more ‘righteous’. Money is such a taboo topic in church, many persons don’t believe that selling is a blessing as much as giving. Making money is not bad, charging is not badit is noble. Reflect on Proverbs 11:26 (NIV): “People curse the one who hoards grain, but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell.”

You often talk about the importance of surrender. How did fully surrendering to God shift everything for you?

CRYSTAL: Surrender is not passive. Many people believe surrender means allowing He who knows ALL things to lead. Surrender is actively choosing obedience because you know your Father always has your best interest at heart.

I understand sometimes surrender can be scary because of the unknown but it is a daily choice to trust God’s heart. I surrendered when I started believing God has a good plan for my life. I surrendered when I believed He will never leave me or forsake me. Once I surrendered my way, my life has never been the same.

Before Christ, you experienced hardship, toxic relationships, and deep insecurity. What was your breaking point, and how did you find healing?

CRYSTAL: I don’t know if I had a breaking point, I think it was various things happening that convicted my heart that led me to desire to deeper relationship with God. My conversion wasn’t a one-time happening, it took various [moments] of striping, choosing and surrendering to really overcome my insecurity and choose to walk in God’s freedom.

If I am being honest, even though I have been really saved for over 10 years, I still have to daily to say no to toxic relationships, self-doubt and walk in healing. Temptations come to always challenge us to fall into old patterns, but it’s a choice to walk in holiness.

Many people struggle with stepping into their calling because of fear. What advice would you give to someone who knows they’re meant for more but feels stuck?

CRYSTAL: It starts with having a vision for your life and where you see yourself. Then, expose yourself to what possibilities look like. Faith comes by hearing, so start filling yourself with positive and faith-filled messages that remind you of who you are in Christ and that your potential is greater than your limitations.

I would say don’t ignore the call to more. You owe it to yourself, to the lives God will allow you to bless and ultimately remember that God will hold you accountable for what He has placed in you. Courage is not the absence of fear—it’s moving forward despite it. Your calling is too important to let fear hold you back. It’s time to step out and believe God will meet you there.

As someone who grew up in difficult circumstances, what does success mean to you now?

CRYSTAL: Success for me now is defined by being in God’s will. Once I know that God is pleased I know I am successful. I do have desires to have greater impact and I trust that I will continue to use my gifts to bless others.
